UPI Mandate – Redirection Checkout Flow (Mandate API)

This document outlines the end-to-end redirection flow for enabling UPI mandates using the Mandate APIs and the hosted checkout integration.

Overview

The UPI Mandate redirection flow enables merchants to:

1. Create a Mandate Plan
2. Create a Customer Subscription
3. Redirect the customer to the hosted checkout page for mandate authorization
4. Receive mandate approval from the customer’s UPI app

The integration is divided into three major steps:

1. Mandate Plan Creation
2. Mandate Subscription Creation
3. Payment Redirection with Mandate Subscription ID
